NAB – The National Association
of Broadcasters, which is a trade group for radio and television
license holders.
NAL – A Notice of Apparent
Liability and Order notice is issued by the Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) when it finds a station or radio company liable for a
fine under legislated laws or agency regulations. The station or
company issued the NAL is permitted 30 days either to pay the proposed
fine or to respond in writing.
Narrator – The individual who
announces during the course of a broadcast program.
NBC – National Broadcasting
Company.
NCS – Nielsen Coverage Study,
used in radio and TV ratings.
